This will be the first time a GQ conference has been held outside of Europe and North America. Previous GQ conferences were held in Tallinn (Estonia) in 1993, Prague (Czech Republic) in 1995, Tübingen (Germany) in 1998, Sheffield (United Kingdom) in 2001 and Waterloo (Canada) in 2004.
