What will we be dealing with?
In his Keynote address at the Summit last year David Withers the President• of Boeing gave an open and frank assessment of the situation facing the Australian defence industry. Likening it to the water drought but with no chance of rain, he acknowledged that each worker was precious and should be conserved.
Conservation of the skilled workers that are within the defence industry is• the challenge, but what are the solutions? The purpose of the Defence Skilling Summit this year is to bring solutions to a public forum, to share best practice recruitment, retention, and conservation strategies.
