QUT's Faculty of Business is delighted to host the 16th Annual Conference on PBFEAM, being held from Wednesday 2 to Friday 4 July, 2008. For the first time in the 16-year history of the Conference, it will be held in Brisbane, Australia. Previous conferences have been held in Asia and the USA.
PBFEAM 2008 will bring together academics, students and practitioners to share knowledge, increase mutual understanding and build global synergies across academe and industry.
The conference theme for the PBFEAM 2008 is "Innovation for a Sustainable Future: Visions for 2020." Each discipline will host plenary sessions involving invited papers dealing with contemporary issues relating to the 2008 conference theme. More details concerning these special sessions will be advised shortly.
We are delighted to announce our keynotes for 2008. In the Finance field we have two confirmed speakers - Stephen J. Brown from New York University and Wayne Ferson from the University of Southern California. The Accounting keynote is Elizabeth (Betsy) Gordon from Temple University, Philadelphia and the Marketing keynote speaker is Steve Worthington from Monash University, Australia. The keynote for Management and Entrepreneurship is Professor Ben Oviatt. In April 2008, Prof. Oviatt will commence his new role with the Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales. Previously he was Professor of Managerial Sciences at the Georgia State University in Atlanta.
